Một chiều xưa một ngày xa xưa đó
Trên đường về thôn xóm nhỏ đìu hiu
Ngắt vội hoa rừng cài lên tóc bé
Nũng nịu hờn bé vất cánh hoa đi

Anh hỏi bé sao không cài hoa tím
Bé nói hoa không sắc bé không ưa
Hoa không tên nhưng hoa biết đợi chờ
Hoa không sắc nhưng anh yêu mầu tím

Từ hôm đó một chiều mưa hôm đó
Bé quay đi anh nhặt cánh hoa tàn
Mầu tim tím tên hoa chưa ai đặt
Nhớ bé nhiều gọi mầu tím hoa sim

Một ngày kia anh nhặt cành hoa tím
Tím buổi chiều bóng xế hoàng hôn
Hoa chưa chủ nên không biết đợi chờ
Hoa không đẹp nên chưa lần hờn dỗi

Rồi một hôm nơi giáo đường im tiếng
Dáng cô dâu trong áo trắng huy hoàng
Tình tan vỡ nhưng anh còn luyến tiếc
Trao cho người cành hoa tím năm xưa

Bé hỏi
Ngày bé vui sao trao cành hoa tím
Mầu tím buồn bé không muốn đâu anh
Mắt cay cay anh quay bước ra về
Hoa héo tàn chân trời tím chiều mưa!!!
